Here is another version of story behind the arrests and detention of Nigerian senator, IKe Ekweremadu in UK over allegations of human trafficking and organ harvests.
“Ike Ekweremadu’s daughter needed a kidney transplant. Her father found a 15 year old homeless boy. Procured a UK Visa for him with the intention of getting him to donate one of his kidneys to his daughter, in exchange for a better life in the UK.
The problem however is that Ike stated that the boy is 21 years old and not 15. At the verge of conducting the medical procedure, the boy innocently informed the doctor that he was only 15 and not 21 as stated in his travel and medical documents.
Following the disclosure, the hospital cancelled the medical procedure and notified the police, as the boy is a minor and incapable of giving consent. This led to the arrest of Ike and his wife. They have been arraigned and denied bail.”
