Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju James, better known as Baba Ijesha, has been sentenced to 16 years imprisonment for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old minor.
He was convicted and sentenced by a Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos on Thursday, July 14.
Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo, in a two-hour judgement convicted Baba Ijesha of indecent treatment of a child, sexual assault and attempted sexual assault.
Taiwo, however, discharged and acquitted him of count one and count six, which were: sexual assault by penetration and attempted sexual assault by penetration.
Recall that the convict was arrested in April, 2021 for sexually assaulting the daughter of his colleague, Damilola Adekoya, aka Princess.
