Sheikh Ahmed Gumi who share the video on his Facebook page, blame Nigerian government of total neglect of Fulanis children education.
He said
TERROR: ready-made foot soldiers for the grabs!
Since when President Ibrahim Babangida’s nomadic education commission was sidelined and its funding neglected and not made a priority commensurate to the task that must be done; which is to leave no nomadic child behind educationally, the roots of the insecurity problems we are facing today were planted, and watered.
Ignorance, poverty, and social injustice in any society push the less privileged ones into being recruited to fight back and inflict pain on the main society that maltreats them. So any nation that is careless about its youth is exposed to self-induced annihilation.
This mobilization and radicalization of these neglected youth we see could be averted only when our language and approach to their predicament change. We have tried it. They need attention, infiltration, spending, and engagement. Not demonization and incessant bombardments or killing of their leaders. It only hardens them and cements their resolve.
Unfortunately, as critical as the timing is, we have leaders who are relatively more dangerous to society than these misguided miscreants. Leaders that are not only callous, clueless but unreliable. They thrive on propaganda, vengeful retorts, and hatred of whoever does not sing their praise. Thus giving whoever is looking for ready-made foot soldiers for the grab to grab.
The nation is facing two real enemies at opposite polar ends. Evident and occult. Enemies by commission and enemies by omission.
