Insecurity: Gov Candidate Vows To Join Security Patrols

The All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Niger State, Umar Mohammed Bago, on Wednesday said that he would join security operatives to patrol the state to ensure lasting peace returns.

Bago said this at the strategic security meeting in Minna adding that he is not a thug and has never been.

“I am saying it loud and clear that anyone caught disrupting the peace of our state and it’s people should be decisively dealt with according to the provision of the law and I’m prepared to support the security agencies to ensure that the menace of hooliganism is permanently curbed on our streets. I have said it, I will personally join the police to patrol our streets to ensure the success of nipping in the bud this madness.

“I am not a thug, I have never been a thug and will never be a thug. Therefore, I will not be a part of all these disturbances of law abiding citizens.”
