Police Arrest Insurgent in Anambra state after shootout

Nigerian Police has confirmed the arrest of insurgent in Anambra state.

The police make this known in a statement share on it Facebook page, 12th of March 2024.

According to the publication by Muyiwa Adejobi the Force PRO FHQ Abuja, the insurgent was arrested with guns wound after shouted with security personnel.

Internal Security:
In the early hours of today, Tuesday 12th March 2024, Police at Nnobi, Idemili South LGA, Anambra State, while on patrol with Vigilante men in Awka Etiti engaged insurgents operating with a Toyota Highlander in a shootout.
One of the insurgents was arrested with gunshot injuries.

Four AK-47 Rifles and 219 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition were recovered.
