Function (Antiretroviral Drugs)
It is a drugs produce to treat HIV-1 and HIV-2 infection. It work by reversing the nucleoside, at such inhibit the transcription of nucleotide in the body system of HIV patient.
Usage
For treating either HIV-1 or HIV-2 infection, it should be used in combination with other antiretroviral drugs.

20mg/ml oral solution come with oral dosing syringe
Prescription
Children less than 25kg: should be given 16mg/kg/day in 2 divided dose, without exceeding 600mg/day.
Children 25kg and above with adult: should be given 600mg/day in 2 divided dose.

Duration of administration; it base on the affectivity of the drugs and they the patient tolerate the drugs.
Precautions
Do not administer to patient with history of severe intolerance to the drugs which lead to previous discontinuous use of the drugs.
Stop the medication when the following sign and symptom occur;
1. Lactic acid with hepatic disorder
2. Myalgia
3. renal impairment
4. Skin rash
5. Nausea
6. Vomiting
7. Abdominal pain
8. Diarrhea
9. Cough
10. Dyspsonea
11. Headache
12. Oedema
13. Lethargy
14. Malaise
15. Arthralgia
16. Hypotension
17. Lymphadenopathy
18. Avoid taking it during pregnancy, can only be taken with proper monitoring when there are no availability of other antiretroviral drugs.
Usage Advice
When half of the tablet is required, use a tablet cutter, or cutter to cut the tablet into two equal pieces
Storage; store bellow 30ºC
Once open, oral solution when keep at temperature bellow 30ºC, it can be store for a maximum of 2 months
