Many die after school bus carrying children hit by airstrike

Many children, reported to be under the age of 10 and below, have reportedly been killed after a Saudi-led coalition airstrike hit a school bus in northern Yemen Thursday 9 august 2019.

The school bus was said to have been hit as it was driving via a market in the rebel-held region of Saada, according the news reported by Houthi-run Al-Masirah TV

The children were on their way to summer camps, Yahya Sha’em, head of the Houthi-held health office in Saada told CNN.

With development, The International Committee of the Red Cross said that they are sending supplies to ICRC-supported hospitals to support of casualties.

Saudi-led coalition have  label the airstrike to be a targeted military operation, as a retaliation to a Houthi ballistic missile which was targeted to the kingdom’s of Jizan province on Wednesday night.

One person was killed in that attack, Saudi state media reported.

According to CNN; Houthi media broadcast gruesome footage appearing to show the dead bodies of some children, why video footage showed a young boy carrying a UNICEF backpack being escorted to a hospital, with his face stained with blood and a medical staff tried to treating his injuries.
