Buhari condemned recent Violence crash between TIV and JUKUN, in Taraba and Fulani Killing in Adamawa

President Muhammad Buhari has condemned the recent violent crash that took place in Benue State, between Jukun and TIV, and Fulani, Genjon and Bachama in Adamawa State.

Buhari said that, violence is never the solution to misunderstanding among people.

His words read, “The recent violent clashes between Jukuns and Tivs in Taraba State, and the Fulani, Genjon and Bachama in Adamawa State are needless and saddening. Violence cannot be the solution to the resolution of misunderstandings among people”.

He said the moment we forget reason and good judgment, then we have all provide enabling environment for violence to succeed, he then give an advice on now to end violence in the societies.

Further said, “Once we abandon reason and good judgement, we‘re giving violence the chance to take over and make a bad situation more complicated,and difficult to resolve. The primary initiative for ending violence once and for all must originate from the local actors involved in these clashes”.

He end his statement by saying that military personnel has restore peace in the area, and National Emergency Management Agency and the National Commission for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons Hastings the effort to come to aid of those displaced.

“The military has restored calm to the affected areas, and will not relent. The National Emergency Management Agency and the National Commission for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons will also scale up their efforts in bringing succour to all the displaced people” he said.
