Wednesday, 1st May, 2019 was a nightmare to Christians in Bankam, Yukur and Mupass villages of Girei Local Government Area in Adamawa State.Information that reached Stefanos Foundation says Fulani militia invaded the villages around 1pm on Wednesday and killed 10 people and wounded several others. They also burnt down two churches with over 200 houses.
Animals were also not spared in the attack. Survivors of the attack are currently helpless as they have no place to lay their heads or fend for their families. The killing of Ethnic Christians in Nigeria by Fulani Jihadists now appears unstoppable. We encourage Christians to continue to pray and trust God under this situation as “The keeper of Israel neither sleeps nor slumber.” We trust that the Lord will act at His own appointed time.
