info commissioner,charles udoh faults nbs’ statistics on aks,says it is politically motivated

The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr.Charles Udoh has said that with the large number of Industries,revamped Hospitals,Free and Compulsory Education to indigenes and non indigenes,massive Road Constructions and other strategic programmes of the State Government to diversify the economy and fight poverty,it is practically impossible for over 1.3 million Akwa Ibom people to be out of job as rated by the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics recently.

Mr.Charles Udoh who spoke in a very brainstorming and eye opening Talk Radio Session with Charles Akpan on Inspiration Radio F.M questioned why the same Bureau which rated the State high in 2017 and 2018 could suddenly come up with a dramatic decline in subsequent ratings.

The Commissioner explained that the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics did not provide a clear methodology or demographic scale on how they arrived at the report said the recent low ratings on Akwa Ibom State is obviously motivated by political opponents to degrade the present administration which he noted is transparent,ingenious and honest as reflected in its yearly published Audited Financial Report made available for public assessment.

The Info Commissioner described Gov Udom Emmanuel as a God fearing Leader who is committed in creating a good means of livelihood for citizens and lead them to the path of godliness,peace and fulfilment.

Speaking on the Governor’s Completion Agenda,he revealed that it will focus on the Field Analysis conducted when the Governor sent credible men and women to the all parts of the state to get a feedback on Government’s impact, areas of needs,this stride,the Commissioner expressed was a pragmatic avenue to boost people oriented governance.

Sir Charles Udoh who hinted of the present administration ‘s zeal in providing a credible and accountable government said Governor Udom Emmanuel’s Integrity in governance was acknowledged by President Buhari when he adopted the Governor s policies and programmes as contents of his mid term’s report in addition to the Prestigious Integrity Award on Governor Udom Emmanuel in Aso Rock by the President.

The Commissioner also enumerated some of the Governor’s second term ‘s programmes to include Rural and Riverine Areas Development,Small and Medium Scale Enterprise,Industrialization,Road Construction,Power,Security,Human Capacity Development,Agriculture,Aviation Development amongst others.

Speaking on Ibom Air and it’s operations ,The Commissioner asserted that the Aircraft is owned by the State Government but will be managed by a hired competent Consultantancy in the Aviation Industry.He also cleared air on the recruitment of staff for Ibom Air by explaining that the advertorials for employment conducted last year by the State Government via online will take care of staff’s absorption.

The State’s Spokes Person said Government remains unwavering in fighting crime and making Akwa Ibom State safe for both indigenes and visitors .
