Nothing last forever they said, as the tenure of the Nigerian lawmakers come to an end in few days from now, sober reflection is seem to have heat the premises of National Assembly complex Abuja yesterday 24th of May 2019, as lawmakers who lost elections in their various constituencies were seen evacuating their personal belongings from their offices.
Some of the aides to the lawmakers were seeing evacuating property from their offices into the awaiting trucks.
Some items seeing evacuating include: refrigerators, plasma TV, water dispensers, printers , portraits photographs, rugs, flags and many other things .
Some of the lawmakers was said to have moved out their luggage from their office immediately after the election result were announced, to avoid disgrace and embracement.
According a report from sahara reporters, Some of the staff were seen in group discussing unexpected exit of the senators and members of House of Representatives while others were making jest of them and jubilating over their misfortune.
Upon investigation of while are they excited of the exit of the lawmakers by Sahara reporters?
One of the staff who respond with condition of anonymity said “many of them were so much intoxicated with power, while it lasted, in such a way that they saw themselves as tin-gods with the positions they occupied”.
He further disclose that a lot of them did not deserve re-election judging by their hostile and aggressive treatment of Nigerians particularly those from their constituencies.
He advice the incoming lawmakers not to be carried away with the allure of power or trappings of public office but to put citizens who elected them into the position of authority first.
