Adetunji bows out of active service

Mr. Adetunji Muftau Aderemi, a former Director of the Internal Audit Department of the University of Ibadan teaching hospital has retired from active service

He is the first Director of the Internal Audit Department as well as a pioneer staff of the Information Technology Department

He joined the services of the University College Hospital, Ibadan in 1987 as a computer programmer in the Information Technology Department, subsequently, he was redeployed to the Internal Audit Department In 2011 having served for 24 years in the Information Technology Department and rose to the position of an Assistant Director. Three years after his redeployment, he was appointed as Head of Internal Audit Department. In 2014, he became the first ever Director of the Internal Audit Department in UCH.

While in office, Mr. Adetunji transformed the Internal Audit Department in various ways among which was the merging of Prepayment Audit with Post Payment audit while Bank Reconciliation was abolished and has since been replaced with Fund Control and Investments owing to the introduction of Treasury Single Account. (TSA) by the Federal Government.

Mr. Adetunji described his tenure as Head of Department of Internal Audit to be transparent and fraud-free. He retired from the services of the Hospital on June 1st, 2019 having clocked the retirement age of 60.

He is happily married with children.
