Youths of Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State are currently protesting in Akure Ondo State capital.
The youth has shut down the government office of the state.
The information disclose that the youth are protesting for an alleged diversion of funds meant for the development of the coastal area by the Governor Rotimi Akeredolu administration.
The protester, also said to have blocked the access road to Alagbaka governor’s office to stop workers from gaining access into the building.
In another development, who speak to us shortly said anti-riot policemen had arrived vanue of the protest to dispatch the protesters.
On the scene, the youths were chanting heavy solidarity songs saying that they would not leave the road leading to the governor’s office until they were addressed by Mr. Akeredolu.
The youths, under the aegis of Ilaje Youths Congress (IYC), were also demanding the total autonomy of the Ondo State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (OSOPADEC)
