EARLIER TODAY,EKET YOUTHS PROTEST AGAINST FRONTIER OIL LIMITED

…Demands for Employment and Absolute Implementation of MOU.

The youths of Eket LGA, today, Thursday 20th June,2019 at FRONTIER OIL LIMITED, EKET OPERATIONAL BASE trooped out enmasse to protest the management and operations of FRONTIER OIL LIMITED.

Interacting with newsmen at the company’s Administrative/Operational base in Eket,the youth representatives who spoke on the condition of anonymity,decried the absolute marginalisation of the Community by Frontier Oil Limited,especially in terms of employment opportunities.

Just like their counterparts in Esit Eket L.G.A., the youth representatives, Hon.David Sam Udo,Mr Emem Ette, Williams Amos Williams and other youth leaders who spoke with newsmen cited the company’s negligence of an established MOU with the Eket community during the employment exercise that was recently held by the Company.

Eket youths therefore urged the Management of Frontier Oil Limited to always consider the Host Communities first in their employment processes in order to sustain the peaceful and harmonious relationship they have been enjoying with their Host Communities.

The youths therefore called on well meaning individuals in Eket LGA,especially the Executive Chairman of Eket LGA,Hon.Frank Archibong to wade into the matter as they remain a peaceful and law abiding people.
