Gov Bello Gives Hope To People With Disabilities In Kogi, Says They Are Part Of The Society

The Government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has uplifted the living standard of people living with disabilities in the State.

The Secretary to the State Government, Mrs Folashade Arike Ayoade stated this while addressing participants drawn across the State today, in the Banquet hall of the Glass House.

Mrs Ayoade said the government has decided to give the people with disabilities sense of belonging by providing all necessary tools that will enhance their mode of living.

The SSG who represented the first lady call for support especially as the State is going into governorship election.

Also speaking at the event Commissioner for health, Hon. Saka Haruna Audu, has lauded the Gov Yahaya Bello open love for physically challenged persons and given them high sense of recognition. Noting that the program was first of its kind since creation of Kogi over 20 years ago.

In a briefly remarks by Executive Chairman Lokoja LGA, Hon. Mohammed Dansabe Mohammed commended the government initiative, says the development will go a long way in cushions suffering of the physically challenged persons in the State.

The program was power by Kogi Government in collaboration with office of the wife of the Governor and Rashida Bello Foundation (RBF) in support of the health policies of His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello with theme: Power to the special people.

Over 200 persons living with disabilities were successfully screen with aimed of providing them artificial support enhancement which the projects will cost the State Government millions of naira.

Some experts from Russian were in attendance.
