Yoruba Leaders during their visit to President Muhammadu Buhari pledged their support for the establishment of Cattle Settlement for Fulanis coming from various West African countries in the South West states.
Buhari’s government have mapped out 7 states including two from the South West to Pioneer the controversial Cattle Settlement in Nigeria. Some South West politicians have an interest in the forthcoming 2019 presidential election and are ready to trade their Ancestorial Lands for Fulani support.
The Settlement is for Foreign Herdsmen and there is no record of Nigerian Fulanis complaining of Housing or land and they have no record of being involved in large scale bloodbath against their fellow compatriots.
After a week of the announcement of this Cattle Settlement, no politician from the South West, especially from the ruling party, have said anything about the development or the killings by the Fulani Herdsmen in Yorubaland.
