You can’t ban herdsmen’s movement – North to South East Governors

Vanguard reports that Northern leaders have discredited the decision of South East governors to prohibit the movement of herders in the geopolitical region.

Major headlines of mainstream Nigerian newspapers for Monday, September 2, 2019 focus on the criticism of northern leaders against the decision of South East governors to ban herdsmen movement in the region.

This position by the leadership of the northern region came after the Seriki of Arewa community in the Uvwie local government area Delta, Suleiman Jauro, alleged that herdsmen from Chad, Mali and Niger Republic are responsible for most of the attacks carried out in the state.
