People’s Democratic Party Governorship caididate,Enginner Musa Wada has expressed shock that despite the numerous potentials abound in Kogi ,foreign and local investors are averse to do business with the state
Engineer Musa Wada bare his mind while playing host to some foreign investors, who came to congratulate him on his well deserved victory, promising to do business in kogi, when he eventually wins the election in November
The PDP candidate challenged the present adminstration in the state, for not creating some incentives to attract both local and foreign investors to assist in the development of the state
He said instead,Kogi state government had embarked on astronomical rise in taxes, payable by both local and foreign investors, without tax holidays
Eng Wada said he is not unaware that lucrative business been ran by local investors and foriegners have fold, because of indiscriminate and high billings in taxes by the state government
‘It is more worrisome in the case of our brothers from the East,whose businesses have fold up in the last two years, owing to daily hike in taxes payable to the state governent’
Eng Wada described the Ibo people as the hub of all form of trade in Nigeria,promising to reverse the anomaly when elected in November
He urged the Ibo community and other tribes in kogi to troupe enmasse and vote PDP in the coming election, so as to make life meaningful for the peeople and the settlers
Wada described the Ibos,Yorubas,Hausas, Delta, Edo and others as one of the early settlers of lokoja, the state capital, who have used their personal earnings and business interest to develop the state
He urged them to be patient as his coming in November will herald good governance, with genuine human face,that will take cognisance of their business interest instead of the current misnormer
He appealed to the foreign investors to attract more of it’s sister companies and other would be investors to Kogi,promising a favourable environment and tax holiday including their security and investment
