Deputy Governorship Candidate of the APC, Kogi State, former Chief of State ro Governor Yahaya Bello, Edward Onoja has said that he is handing over the position he occupied before with confidence.
Edward Onoja who is now the running mate to Governor Yahaya Bello for November 16th Governorship election in Kogi, said that he is handing over Chief of Staff to Pharmacist Asuku Jamiu Abdulkareem, the office he vacated.
Edward said “Earlier this week I resigned from my post as the Chief of Staff to Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State. This is the requirement of law following His Excellency’s gracious nomination of my humble self as his running
running mate in the 2019 Kogi State Gubernatorial Elections.
Today, my boss appointed Pharmacist Asuku Jamiu Abdulkareem, into the office I vacated.
I wholeheartedly testify that my Successor as Chief of Staff is a proper fit for the office, having worked closely with me
whilst we served His Excellency as Chief Of Staff And Director General, Protocols respectively.
I’m very optimistic that he is also an ambassador of the New Direction and that the One United Kogi Spirit we all have learnt and are still learning from our detribalized Leader is
alive, well and kicking in him.
Asuku’s dedication, loyalty, courage and most importantly Trust built over the years will stand him in good stead in this new responsibility.
For those who may wonder at the seamless transition, let it be known that this is a clear example of
team succession plan implemented by our Principal.
