Former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan commended Niger for transforming Niamey the capital city of the country to a destination of choice to hold
2019 summit of Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
He said, “In Niamey for peace consultations, I was honoured to have met many West African leaders who also came here for the extraordinary summit of heads of state of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). I commend the Government and people of Niger for their efforts towards transforming the capital city Niamey into a destination of choice for important international meetings and conferences.”
