LT. COL. Abu Ali, Kogi Born commander killed by Boko Haram, Nigerians will never forget

LT, COL. ABU ALI… It’s now becoming more obvious that, the Late Lieutenant-Colonel Muhammad Abu Ali was not only a great fighter; he was also a leader that led with his blood. A leader that the world would hardly find a replacement for.

He was a leader that mingled and cared for his soldiers when he was the commander of the famous “272 Tank Battalion” at the forefront of the battlefield with the BHT.

Before his death, his last words to his men was “Pray, stay alert and alive. If anyone should die; let it be me”.

Unfortunately, he was killed together with some six gallant officers (including a Navy Officer).

They were ambushed and killed on Friday, 04th November, 2016.

On the 7th November, 2016, their corpses were flown on a military helicopter from Borno State to the FCT-Abuja for a proper funeral.

Lieutenant-Colonel Muhammed and his brave colleagues were buried in marked tombs, inside the National Military Cemetery, Abuja.

From the day he died, tears have refused to stop dripping from the eyes of his admirers. The day he died, was the first day the Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai was seen shedding tears in public (this is to prove how painful the death of Lieutenant-Colonel Muhammad Abu Ali was to the nation).

Prayers are constantly being said for the repose of his soul. And prayers will continue to be rendered till the end of time.

Rest on, the BK killer!
