Gov Sani Bello Condemns Renewed Armed Banditry Attacks in Judodo, Galapai and Nakpala communities in Shiroro LGA

The directs stringent military operations be carried out in the affected areas as government takes decisive action Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello has again condemned the renewed armed banditry attacks on kudodo Nakpala, and Gulapai communities of Shiroro Local Government Area of the State. In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mrs. Mary Noel Berje, the Governor expressed worry over the unfortunate attacks, adding that air and land surveillance by security personnel have been deployed immediately to the area to fish and flush out the bandits terrorizing the communities. The Governor, emphasised that the criminals are taking advantage of the vastness and difficult terrain of the forestland to unleash terror on innocent people, adding that the state government is fully supporting the joint security taskforce to chase the armed bandits out of the state, whom have been reported to be cow rustlers . While sympathizing with the victims of the recent armed banditry attacks in the affected communities, Governor Sani Bello directed that strigent military action be taken to bring to an end to persistent attacks in the state, warning that a decisive position has been taken to bring the bandits down . Governor Abubakar Sani Bello re- emphasised that the menace of insecurity in the state is made more difficult because bandits are crossing over from neighboring states of Zamfara and Kaduna States into the axis and to create mayhem by dislodging innocent inhabitants and collecting their cows. He, however, called for calm in the affected communities and shiroro local government area in particular as well as appealing to them to cooperate with and assist security agencies in the area by providing credible intelligence report that will uncover the hideout of the bandits.

The recently affected communities include; Kudodo, Galapai and Nakpala all in shiroro local government Area which leading to the loss of one live and property.
