Emenike: NSCDC CG Condoles with Senator Okorocha, bans public display of firearms by its personnel

His Excellency Senator Rochas Okorocha has decried the unfortunate and sudden death of Engineer Ndubuisi Emenike, the multi-billionaire young man turned politician who was few days ago mulled down by bullets from an NSCDC personnel attached to one of his friends, Omenma.

Senator Okorocha who described Engineer Ndubuisi Emenike as a son with enormous leadership and entrepreneurial potentials stated that the young man’s death is “a huge loss to Nigeria and the entire Africa, because the young man possessed great potentials and a beautiful heart that would have made the world a better place.”

The APC national leader stated this when the Commandant-General of the NSCDC, CG Abdullahi Gana paid him a condolence visit in his office in Abuja, following the tragic death of the AA senatorial candidate in the hands of a trigger happy personnel of the corps.

According to a statement by the Corps Public Relations Officer, DCC Okeh Emmanuel, the CG assured the Imo West Senator and the entire people of Imo State that the organization would take decisive and uncompromising action against the officer who fired the shot that killed the vibrant young politician.

The CG also ordered immediate ban on public display of firearms by its personnel at public gatherings and also declared it an offense for any arms bearing official of the NSCDC to be seen within 50 meters at any public gathering. He ordered all State commandants of the corps to ensure full compliance with the directive.

The statement also informed that the CG shall subsequently be paying a condolence visit to the family of the slain philanthropist in Imo and Lagos State in order to convey the agency’s deep condolences and regrets.
