Governor Fintiri flags off Better Education Service for All (besda) in Adamawa

Adamawa State Governor,

Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri Saturday officially flagged off Better Education Service Delivery for All BESDA in Adamawa which he said is in tandem with the educational policy of the present administration.

Similarly Governor Umaru Fintiri had aso declared open a mini summit on basic education delivery with the theme sustaining BESDA activities in Adamawa State beyond twenty twenty two.

The Governor during the event at the banquet hall government House yola said the state has so far yielded positive result in the programme emphasises on Better implementation of the Universal Basic Education UBE programme.

He added that the objectives of BESDA is in line with the educational policy of the present administration which is why barely two months of the administration in office,he directed the implementation of Its activities prior to any support from BESDA

He said state government is implementing free education at both basic and post basic levels and it’s accessible to all and has a deliberate plan to stop the generation of out of school children in the state and to clear the misprojected number of over two hundred and thirty nine thousand out of school children in Adamawa by twenty twenty two.

He revealed that a total of fifty one thousand, two hundred and five girls and almajiris were enrolled from twelve local governments and will be retained for nine months before they are reintegrated and incentives are already provided to parents and the children assuring of more results in the near future

Contributing, the National coordinator of BESDA Prof Gidado Tahir said the programme has come to stay in the country so far yielding positive results in the focal seventeen states of the country.

Highlights of the programme were educative playlets by the cultural troop and song ministrations by beneficiaries
