Kogi Gov. Yahaya Bello Might Be The Next Victim of Supreme Court

With the latest judgment of Supreme Court of Nigeria where the election of Emeka Ihedioha of Imo state and the latest that happened on Thursday when the apex court nullified the election of the Bayelsa governor elect, David Lyon, Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello might be the next victim of supreme Court.
It is becoming more clearer by the day that the Supreme Court is desirous of maintaining the integrity of Nigeria judicial system, with its latest judgment and Kogi governor, Yahaya Bello might not escape from Supreme Court.
Yahaya Bello whose election was largely flayed due to the high level of electoral violence, killings, and irregularities during the election, the Kogi governor might suffer the same fate of Imo Ihedioha and Bayelsa Lyon if the post election litigation ever reach the table of Supreme Court for the impartial Judges of supreme court to judge.
Don’t forget that the ongoing litigation at the Kogi State Election Petition Tribunal is already sending fear to the ruling APC in the state due to the level of evidences by the oppositions which borders on obvious irregularities and alleged rigging that marred the November 16 election governorship election in the state.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who has on different occasions boast of getting its mandate back in Kogi State is desirous of taking the litigation up to supreme Court if that will guarantee the party’s victory.
If David Lyon who had the backing of the presidency and the support of former president Goodluck Jonathan could lost his election at the Supreme Court, then Yahaya Bello of Kogi State might never escape from Supreme Court on the ongoing post election litigation.
