Senator George Sekibo, representing River East in the upper chamber, in today plenary tell colleagues not to travel out of Nigeria, as the issue of Coronavirus has become a global concerns.
The Senate said Coronavirus is a respecter of no one, stating that despite the increase positive confirm cases of the virus in Nigeria, seaport, airport, and borders are still open, which he described as more threatened to Nigeria.
“The virus is a respecter of no one. Let the Federal Ministry of Health release guidelines on keeping personal hygiene. Our airports and seaports are still open and we do not have the machinery to fight this coronavirus. So it is more threatening. Mr. Senate President, let no one from this Chamber travel out, we should all be here.”- Senator George Sekibo.
