I was ashamed to see some churches and Pastors flagrantly disobeying the government’s directives to not gather more than twenty or fifty people in a place at this time of the Coronavirus pandemic.
This is simply wrong!
The church cannot disobey the law that is in place to protect the citizens from a pandemic!
Unfortunately, most of these members don’t have enough to eat at home not to talk of what is needed to take care of themselves if they become sick.
This is not faith!
If churches in the US, UK, Canada and other parts of the world can shut their doors for a while, what is wrong with my people in Nigeria?
Some churches even see the directive of the government as persecution, that is absolutely ridiculous!
The welfare of our members should be our priority.
I even think that this is the time for the churches to step up to care for the needy among us who might be badly affected by the various lockdowns.
I am sad 😞
