KANO STATE is the single biggest public health risk and imminent catastrophe facing the entire sub-saharan Africa!
In the entire federation, it is the only state that has proven completely incapable of managing its health systems and exercising control over public movements and enforcing restrictions on religious congregation.
Sending the CDC there to take over the Covid 19 management process from Ganduje’s naive, young and inexperienced daughter (who only has an MSc in public health) is not enough.
If anything, doing so only endangers the lives of young professionals who are making all the difference in managing this pandemic in other states where the populations are cooperative and seriously inclined to do what is right.
So why expose these young chaps to more risk by taking them to a KANO where all that the people do is comply with Covid 19 prevention protocols IN THE BREACH ??
A state of emergency should be declared and federal troops moved in to enforce a total lockdown before KANO singularly plunges the whole subcontinent into a Corona disaster of scriptural proportions, wallahi.
The federal government should take every step necessary to prevent ignorance, nonchalance, misplaced religious zealotry, state-level corruption, greed and incompetence as the factors that turned KANO into the Corona hotspot which dragged the rest of Africa down into the pit of the most disastrous plague in modern human history!!!
