Adhere to NSCIA, Directives, stay of from Quranic lectures and congregational prayers in mosques to contain the spread of coronavirus in the country – Sen. Yakubu Oseni

Kogi central senator, Yakubu Oseni has charge Muslims faithful to adhere to the directive by NSCIA against covid-19 pandemic to prevent the spread of the virus.

Oseni made the call in his Ramadan messages.

He said “The sufficient grace of God has again made us to witness this year’s Ramadan fasting which was declared to begin today by the Saudi Arabia Supreme Court after sighting the crescent.

Ramadan as we all know is a month of intense worship, prayers, sacrifice and show of love to others. It is on this note that I enjoin all of you to deepen your prayers especially as the world has to contend with a novel and deadly COVID-19

We may be confronted by seeming daunting situations which tend to dash our faith and belief in our Almighty Maker but these are tests that meant to strengthen our stance with God through sincere supplications.

Therefore, endeavour to adhere to the directives of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, NSCIA, under the leadership of the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, which ordered the suspension of Quranic lectures and congregational prayers in mosques to contain the spread of coronavirus in the country.

As we seek the face of Almighty Allah, may He accept our act of Ibadah. May our individual heart desires be granted and have mercy upon the world by healing our infirmities.
Amin
