I want to use this medium to sincerely appreciate you all for your kind words, prayers and admonitions during my birthday celebration which I marked on a very low key yesterday.
Indeed, I was elated by your unwavering determination to stand by me in all thick and thin.
For those that used the period to make suggestions on how our constituency could be lifted into more glorious and enviable stance in terms of development, I appreciate you. I have learnt over the years that true leadership emerges as a result of the ability to be unconditionally receptive to meaningful and constructive suggestions.
On my personality that you described with the nicest words, I promise not to only strive to be my humble self but the best of me in service for humanity.
Ladies and gentlemen, the task of leadership is daunting but you have made it easy for me by your prayers, support and useful suggestions.
I pray that Almighty Allah will divinely shield us from the negative impacts of the ravaging pandemic.
