INNA LILLAHI WA’INNA ILAIHI RAJI’UN

With total submission to the will of Allah (SWT), His Excellency, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello, Governor of Niger State condoles with the people of the State on the death of one of the State’s illustrious son and elder statesman, Alhaji Abdullahi Ma’aji (Mutawallen Kontagora), former Director General, Federal Ministry of Industry, Abuja which sad event occurred on Wednesday, 3rd June, 2020 after a brief illness in Abuja.

The contributions of the late Alhaji Abdullahi Ma’aji to the development of Niger State were unparalleled and his commitment to our fatherland was unquantifiable. We however take solace in the fact that “from Allah we all come and to Him we shall all return”. Nobody shall live longer than the time appointed by Almighty Allah! Your life on earth was very eventful, your achievements in all spheres of life left indelible marks on the lives of the people of Niger State and Nigerians as a whole.

We accept the fact that death is a necessary end for all mortals. You lived an exemplary and most inspiring life; you motivated and touched so many lives in so many places, now you’re suddenly gone! Only God can assuage our pain and sense of loss of your sudden demise. Your exceptional personality, warmth and charisma are sterling qualities that we shall greatly miss.

We pray Allah (SWT) to grant the soul of the deceased Aljannah Firdaus and give the immediate family of the late Alhaji Abdullahi Ma’aji (Mutawallen Kontagora) fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
