As the scheduled date for the resumption of the EPL gradually approaches,more efforts are being made to ensure that the safety of players,staffs and everyone concerned are being met.
In relation to that, more tests are being conducted among players and and staffs of each club in the EPL. So far there have been five rounds of testing conducted among players and staffs.
The premier league released a statement yesterday were it confirmed that from over 1197 samples of players and staffs tested for the virus on the 1st and 2nd of June,there was only 1 confirmed case .
That case was from Tottenham Hotspur,but due to medical confidentiality the identity of the individual was not disclosed to the public. The individual who is asymptomatic has gone on self isolation according to EPL rules before undergoing further testing.
There have so far been 13 confirmed cases of the virus out of 5087 tests conducted from 5 rounds of testing. It EPL will continue it’s good work,carrying more testing twice a week as the date,June 17th slated for resumption fast approaches..
