Zulum Rejects Substandard Building Construction Blocks For 500 Housing Units in Auno


Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum on Saturday, 20th June 2020, ordered the immediate replacement of substandard blocks at the site for construction of 500 housing units in Auno.

The educationist cum politician who bagged a Ph.D in soil and water engineering from the University of Maiduguri vehemently rejected the blocks for not meeting building construction standards.


Auno is a town along the Maiduguri-Damaturu highway, located in Konduga local government area.


Zulum was on a tour of ongoing projects in Konduga and Maiduguri metropolis.


The Governor in addition to the 500 housing units in Auno also inspected construction of hostels at the Borno State University and progress works going on at Moramti mega secondary School.


Zulum returned to Maiduguri on Friday after attending a meeting with President Buhari at the state house, met ministers of Agriculture, Finance, Humanitarian Affairs and the DG Refugees Commission.


The Governor had in all his engagements in the Federal capital city of Abuja raised matters that are of developmental interest to Borno state.
