West Ham victory at home to Chelsea couldn’t have come anytime better than now. As a victory has lifted West Ham Three points above the relegation zone. Chelsea were the first to open scoring with Willian scoring a penalty in the 42nd minute. It appeared like the first half was going in favour of the away side only for T.Soucek to grab an equaliser right on the stroke of half time.
West ham returned to the second half with more intent in their play which paid off 6 minutes into the second half as Michail Antonio put West Ham in front again.
However, West Ham were not able to keep their 2-1 lead as Willian again scored a stunning free kick in the 72nd to put the vistors at par again. Both teams searched for the final blow, it was West Ham who would finally get though as Supersub Andriy Yarmolenko introduced in the 78th minute for Jarrod Bowen,who played very well assisting West Ham first two goals, scored the third for West Ham in the 89th minute in what was a swift counter attacking play from the Hammers.
Chelsea misses the opportunity to move third with this defeat as third place Leicester were defeated 2-1 at Everton. They would now have to be careful not to lose their fourth spot as tbey top United with just two points.
