The executive governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Bello has append his signature on a bill seeking for the establishment of the Confluence University of Science and Technology in Kogi State.
A statement by Kogi state Commissioner for Information and Communication Kingsley Fanwo, reveal that the University will be cited at Osara in Okene Local Government area of Kogi State.
Fanwo said this after the Executive Council meeting held today 9th of July 2020 at the Government House, Lokoja.
According to him, Kogi State is blessed with Natural resources as such, the State need a university that would equip youths with requisite skills to occupied industries in the state, especially the Ajaokuta steel company that will soon commenced operations.
