We will Settle Land Dispute, but we can’t Bring Back life Lost – Gov. Oyetola charge Waring communities to embraced peace

Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun State has said that land dispute can be settle, but life lost in the process can’t be brought back.

The Governor say this when he receive traditional rulers of Ifon and Ilobu communities that have engaged each other over land dispute.

The Governor in his advise to the communities after the traditional rulers of the communities has sign peace accord to embraced peace, said

“Your subjects willl watch out for your body languages. Therefore, you must watch your utterances. We’ll settle land dispute but we can’t bring back any life that is lost in the process.” This was my message to the traditional rulers of Ifon and Ilobu communities that have been involved in a land dispute.

I was delighted when the two monarchs signed a peace pact and assured me of their readiness to embrace peace and unity. I therefore urge residents of the two towns to go about their normal and lawful activities without fear.

Osun has been the most peaceful State in Nigeria and we must maintain that record by ensuring that we allow peace to prevail by loving one another. Our government won’t tolerate any act capable of undermining the peace and harmony we enjoy in the State.
