Adamawa Govt flags off 6.6km Gulak Township road of N1.6bn

In the efforts towards providing infrastructure development across Adamawa, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has flagged off construction of 6.6km township roads in Madagali local government area at the cost of ₦1.6bn.

Speaking at the occasion that held in Gulak, Governor Umaru Fintiri explained that the roads will include central primary school Gulak to cottage hospital Gulak, market road, motor park road, and jaligo road to Government Day Secondary school Gulak among others.

He enumerated other ongoing works in the local government to include rehabilitation of Gulak cottage hospital and Government Day Secondary school Gulak and water scheme among other numerous developmental projects.

He said other projects that will soon commence include construction and rehabilitation of schools in Madagali, Kirchinga, Shuwa, Primary School Gulak, as well as clinics for improved healthcare delivery among others.

He appealed to the people to support his administration with prayers, assuring that he will never relent in executing people’s oriented projects across the state so that the citizenry will feel the impact of democracy.

In his speech, the commissioner of Works and Energy, Alhaji Adamu Atiku Abubakar said the project is long over due because of the neglect as a result of combined effects of insurgency and ecological degradation.

Alhaji Abubakar said the project will be completed in fourteen months and appealed to people in the area to give the contractor maximum support while the ministry will ensure strict supervision of the work.

The Managing Director Mrs Triacta Nigeria Limited, Engineer Elie Abu Farahat while speaking, thanked Governor Umaru Fintiri for contracting the company and assured the people of Gulak and environs quality delivery of the project.
