Fake Passport Saga: Ronaldinho to be released.

Former Brazil and Barcelona star Ronaldinho is to be released after four months under house arrest in Paraguay, according to reports.

The 40-year old Brazil World Cup winner was arrested for allegedly trying to enter the South American country on a fake passport in March. Ronaldinho, along with brother and manager Roberto de Assis Moriera, were jailed on 5 March and were facing up to six months in Prison, but they released after 32 days in April.

The pair have since been under house arrest in the four-star Hotel Palmaroga, a number of hotels owned by Barcelona in Asuncion, the capital of Paraguay, after a £1.2million bond was reportedly paid.

But The Sun now claim that the period too is coming to an end as Ronaldinho awaits his sentence for his role in the incident leading to his arrest.
