Mike Tyson vows to knock out Jones Jr.

Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. will square off in an extension bout next month, and fighters typically do not try to injure one another in situations like that. Not surprisingly, Tyson seems like he is treating the match like it’s another heavyweight title fight.

California Stake Athletic Commission executive director Andy Foster told Yahoo Sports recently that Tyson and Jones will be wearing gloves that are larger than normal and not trying to “take each other’s heads off.”

“This isn’t a situation where they are going out there to try to take each other heads off Foster said. They are just going to be there moving around the ring letting fans see this legends.

Tyson however has a somewhat different mentality. Following a training section on Saturday, the former champion told Omokoshaban he is not going to pass up a chance to knock Jones out.

If the opportunity comes I’m always looking for it. Tyson said with a shrug this is search and destroy and i am looking forward to the recapturing my gory.

Tyson is 54 and Jones is 51, Jones actually had real fight in Febuary 2018, when he deafeated Scoct Sigmon in an unanimous decsision.Tyson’s last fight was 2005.

Boxing legends Roy Jones Jr. and Mike Tyson will collide in an exhibition bout on September 12th.

The fight will take place at the Dignity Health Sports Arena in LA, California, USA.

A bout that while most boxing fans say in public they are against, one nonetheless that they will tune into see out of intrigue on the night.

One would hope all health and safety precautions and being taken by both combatants and particularly by the recently very incompetent California State Athletic Commission.
