Kogi, Korea To Strenghten Technology-based Education, More Korean Investment In The State

In a bid to improve practical knowledge-based education, the Kogi State Government and the Republic of Korea through the Korea International Cooperation Agency, KOICA are building on their existing relationship to improve technology-based education in the state.

In a teleconference meeting held on Monday, 10 August which the Governor participated from his office in Lokoja, the country director of KOICA, Woochan Chang, spoke on the need to conduct an assessment for the formulation of a possible follow-up support to the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Institute of Vocational and Advanced Technology, Lokoja.

While commending KOICA for the establishment of Nigeria-Korea Friendship Institute of Vocational and Advanced Technology in the state, Governor Bello said the state is willing and ready to have more of Korean investment in the area of agriculture, transport and infrastructure in addition to education intervention.
The governor commended the Government of the Republic of Korea and gave assurances of his government commitment to the partnership.
