Werner’s pace and workrate on Monday were a joy to behold.
The German is buzzing to kick off his Chelsea career with a win.
Speaking on Sky Sports after the 3-1 win at Brighton,Timo Werner said: “I played against three massive defenders, you don’t have that in Germany!
“But the game, for me, it makes it really fun. Especially in the first half, I have a lot of space where I can do my runs.”
“I am happy to be here and I think it was a good first game for me and the team.”
Although Werner failed to score his first official goal for Chelsea on Monday, the German won a penalty and impressed with his overall sharpness.
