A 17-year-old girl was killed by a car while on her way to school on Wednesday in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
According to report, the girl was a student of the Community Secondary School, Rumuapara before a unfortunate demise.
It was learnt that the girl was hit by a car while trying to cross the road at about 8:05am on Wednesday.
The spokesman for the state police command, Nnamdi Omoni, confirmed the incident.
She however died in the University Teaching Hospital were she was rushed to for treatment.
