Lagos Okada Ban Take Effect today

Lago Stats government will Today 1st of June 2022, commence the enforcement of Motorcycle ban, alias Okada Ban in the State.

Recalled that Naijablog had previously report that Lagos State government announced Baning of Okada in some area of State.

The Baning was announced in the middle of last month after some Okada boys beat and set Sound Engineer ablaze over ₦100 dispute.

The State government in reaction to the incident announced Baning of Okada within the effected area, which the statement reveal that it will take effect today 1st of June 2022.

In reassuring to earlier Order, the Head Public Affairs, LAGFERRY, Akeem Odusina, stated in a statement made available to newsmen on Tuesday that the effected area should use water transportation.

The terminal and jetties, according to the statement, include the Badore terminal, Badore; Ipakodo terminal, Ikorodu; Five Cowries terminal, Ikoyi; CMS/Victoria Island terminal; Liverpool terminal, Apapa and Ilaje Bariga terminal, Bariga.

In the statement, Odusina noted that “travelling by water is 100 per cent traffic-free and there are first-mile and last-mile buses available at the terminal/jetty parks to take passengers to their final destination.”
