Just days to the Ekiti gubernatorial elections and Labour Party members in Ekiti defect en masse to the APC, and collapse their structure into that party. You may blame them, but what do they do in the absence of leadership? Without a strong national leadership, they are like sheep without a shepherd.
Tinubu just left Ekiti. The PDP is sending a powerful team there on Thursday. Who is going to Ekiti for the Labour Party? They need buses to ferry party supporters. They need polling agents. They need an organiser. That is the nitty gritty of politics. Not Twitter sabre rattling.
Anyway, what is happening in Ekiti is Interesting. We hope the Labour Party will not do the same thing days to the February 25, 2023 Presidential election! Structure matters!
