It ended in tears for a young thief after he was busted in a robbery operation gone wrong. The suspect was finally arrested yesterday by the vigilant members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) in Mt. Edgecombe – KZN. The suspect, who had evil intentions of carrying out a robbery, got the beating of his life after the victims realized he was carry firearm with blank rounds.
It all began when employees at business premises noticed the man acting suspiciously. The situation escalated quickly when the suspect removed the firearm from his waistband, causing a wave of panic amongst the staff who suspected that he intended to rob them. Fortunately, the Reaction Officers were summoned to the scene and all hell broke loose.
After viewing CCTV footage and obtaining a clothing description of the male, the Reaction Officers sprang into action and began patrolling the area. With their eagle eyes, the officers busted the suspect walking along Burnside Place and gave him a terrible beating after he made a futile attempt to escape on foot after discarding the weapon.
Nevertheless, the brave members of RUSA were not discouraged, and they pursued the suspect, finally capturing him after he had tried to hide between trucks and trailers on Marshall Drive. The suspect and the firearm have been handed over to the Phoenix SAPS for further investigation.
