Akpanusoh has no contender-Party Woman Leader

The chapter and entire ward executives of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Esit Eket LGA have reiterated their readiness to renew the mandate of Deacon Udom Emmanuel and Dr. Usoro Akpanusoh for another four years as Governor and House of Assembly member respectively.

The declaration of support and subsequent endorsement was made known today at the residence of the PDP chapter chairman, Elder Eddy Etangkanga when the Lawmaker accompanied by his wife Mrs. Ini Akpanusoh and members of his campaign team (KINI-ABASI 2019) consulted the party leadership and ward executives to formally declare his intention of running for a second term.

Setting the tone for the formal declaration by the lawmaker, a one time vice chairman of Esit Eket and former chapter chairman of the PDP, Prince Enobong Asubop, said the aspiration of Akpanusoh to continue in office is for the general interest of the constituency.

Declaring his intention before the chapter Exco, Dr. Akpanusoh thank God for the grace to be alive and reiterated his avowed commitment in supporting the administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel and the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Akpanusoh stated that he came to formally intimate the party leadership of his second term aspiration and to solicit for their support to revalidate his mandate.
He submitted that his scorecard as a first term lawmaker is a glaring manifestation of his dedication and commitment towards the advancement of his constituency.
He said he is confident that the umbrella party under which he is currently enjoying his first term mandate will come out more stronger and victorious in the forthcoming general elections and appealed for continuous support from the party while also promising to deliver more dividends of democracy to his constituents.
” I am sure that we are winning this election, with the faces seen here; I am more encouraged to sustain this pace but, we must not mortgage our conscience as we anticipate more impactful legislatively season” Akpanusoh said.
He however called on his supporters to continue in supporting the administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel till 2023.
In his goodwill message, the leader of Esit Eket legislative council, Barr. Daniel Akpe; declared the legislature’s support to Udom Emmanuel and Usoro Akpanusoh saying that their decision to offer their support for the endorsement of Governor Udom Emmanuel and Akpanusoh’s mandate renewal is to create formidable synergy for development to strive in the area.
Continuing, Barr. Akpe lauded the leadership of the Executive Chairman of Esit Eket, Hon. Iniobong Robson and the political leader, Elder Benjamin Udobia describing the duo as pillars of hope and unity. In a show of demonstration, the house leader requested that members of the legislative should be incorporated into KINI-ABASI campaign team on subsequent consultations.
Also speaking, the chapter woman leader of the party, Princess Grace Itama promised to mobilize women across the LGA in support of Udom Emmanuel and Akpanusoh’s re-lection bid.
She noted that the incumbent lawmaker has no contender in the State Assembly race as he has performed creditably well in the last 3 years.

Speaking on behalf of the three zones in Esit Eket, Mr. John Okon Edu, Party youth leader for ward (10) and Mr. Effiong Johnson; chairman, forum of ward chairmen in Esit Eket commended the State lawmaker’s effective performance and urged all to work tirelessly to ensure second term victory.
In his remarks, the chapter Chairman of the party, Elder Eddy Etangkanga, described Usoro Akpanusoh as a reliable and marketable brand vested with amazing leadership attributes.
Etangkanga who equally is the chairman of PDP Chapter chairmen in Akwa Ibom State, admitted that Akpanusoh has not failed in his first term as the peoples representative urged the people of Esit Eket to unite and renew the mandate for Akpanusoh.
He appreciated the numerous role of the political leader Elder Benjamin Udobia, in shaping the phase of development in the area.
He reatirated his loyalty and support to the Udom Emmanuel led-administration and the second term project. He advised other aspirants seeking to contest for the ticket of the party to take same bold steps taken by the incumbent by consulting widely in their political aspirations.
The consultation had in attendance all chapter and ward executives of the party, Members of Esit Eket legislative council led by Barr. Daniel Akpe, party stalwarts, political leaders, youths, women, students and a host of other supporters.
