Journalists who spend more than 500 day in detention for reporting Rohingya massacre set free

Two Journalist which were arrested for reporting the massacre of Rohingya civilians freed.

According to Doug Criss who reporting from CNN, said Wa Lone and kyaw Soe Oo were arrested “under the country’s Official Secrets Act for reporting on a massacre of Rohingya civilians”.

The two Journalist were set free as “part of an amnesty of thousands of prisoners by Myanmar’s President and after a huge, international lobbying effort led by the I’d fellow journalists”.

Wa Lone, then thanked it supporter after living prison, said, “I can’t wait to go to my newsroom.”
