According to the statement, “This is to dissociate Abdullahi Ibrahim Aibro from the rumours of his appointment as SSA to the Nasarawa State Governor on Investment and Economic Planning that has been making rounds in the social media since late yesterday evening.
Aibro acknowledges that the mixup may have been caused by the similarity in his name and that of the new appointee of the Governor so, he can’t blame his supporters for jumping the gun. However, let it be on record that he made it clear to all who called him that although the name in the appointment list is mirror of his own name, it was not his.
Notwithstanding, Aibro appreciates all the messages and calls of congratulations that have kept him awake all night and thanks everyone for wishing him well. This shows among other things that he enjoys the goodwill of his people of Nasarawa/Toto Federal Constituency and indeed the state in General.
Aibro wishes to also use this opportunity to wish the appointees, especially his big brother, Hon Samuel Egya well in his new post and prays to the almighty to help him and all the others to discharge their duties for the good and future of our dear Nasarawa state.
Aibro wants the people to know that it is not yet Uhuru, and that he will continue to fight the good fight for the sake of our people. He calls on all his well wishers not to be disappointed with the way things had turned out with regards to the appointment as the almighty, who is all knowing and all wise has better things in stock for all who wait and believe in him.”
