As the dawn of today’s celebration of democracy day comes in,Alhaji Abdullkarim ISAH USMAN Wambai, the honourable member house of Representatives representing Lokoja-Kotonkarfe federal constituency pray that all negativity be transformed into positivity for us all in this nation.
Our uninterrupted democracy since 1999, is proof of its overwhelming popularity and acceptance, as it has allowed the active participation of everyone in the society in choosing their leader.
He appeals to every leader in government at all levels to continue to extend the democratic dividend to the greatest majority of our people.
I want to use this opportunity to again commend our President, Muhammadu Buhari for officially recognising June 12 as the nation’s Democracy Day in honour of the Late M.K.O. Abiola, who paid a steep price for this participatory government.
He urge every Nigerians to continue holding themselves and others to account on the democratic ideals of equity and justice in all endeavours so as to make our dear nation corruption-free and deepen democracy.
Congratulation and happy democracy day.
