“This is not who we are”, says AbdulRazaq, after receiving kidnapped Turkey citizens

The Kwara State governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq received the four Turkish nationals recently abducted in Edu Local Government of the state at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

Gov AbdulRazaq who accompanied President Muhammad Buhari to the 172nd Independence Anniversary Celebration of Republic of Liberia in Monrovia alongside Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State, and Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State where the President received The Grand Cordon of the Knighthood of Venerable Order of the Pioneers,” Republic of Liberia’s highest national honour rushed down to the airport to receive the Turkish expatriates.

The governor took time to explain the hospitality embedded in the state of harmony, reiterating that the incident isn’t a reflection of what Kwarans are. AbdulRazaq handed them over to the Ambassador of Turkey personally at the Turkish Embassy in Abuja.

He assured the Ambassador Kwara is safe, open to investors and ready for businesses that the kidnapping incident is a one off and the first ever but never again in Kwara State.

Gov AbdulRazaq also thanked the security agencies for the job well done to secure the unconditional release of the abductees. He assured all investors who are willing to come and invest in the economy of the state that “this is not who we are”. He also beseech Kwarans to always remain calm and live in harmony as his government is committed to providing maximum security for everyone within the state.
